We hope that the day will bring together a bunch of brilliant like-minded people and experts to learn, laugh and network. We want you to leave with the skills and inspiration you need to move forward with your business (or start one!) and enjoy sharing your story.
Meet the experts
Helen Perry, me, the writer of this blog (above left). I’m a former full-time mum and former BBC News reporter who has turned to social media to grow a new career. I will be speaking about how to use Instagram to find and engage with the audience you want.
Antonia Taylor ( above right) is an inspiring PR business owner. In her session, she will be using her years of expertise and experience to empower you to allow your story to shine out from the heart of your brand.
Lottie Stevenson is ex BBC news too, but she knows cameras. She now has her own business making films for businesses and will be offering a beginners guide (including a practical element) to shooting video on your mobile phone.
Lottie helped featured in a blog post I did about IGTV, click if you would like to read.
Sarah Leach is a life and career coach who will discuss some of the underlying causes of imposter syndrome (that feeling that everyone else is better than you, and you are going to get found out one of these days). We’ll work on some strategies for getting beyond nagging self-doubt.
Please leave a comment below if you have any questions, we really can’t wait to meet you.
P.S The Thames Lido is a treasure of a building in central Reading (just 5 minutes walk from the main train station), click here to read about its history.
