How to take brilliant photos on your phone – a new (free!) downloadable

As of this moment, I have 62,598 photographs saved on my phone. The majority of them have been taken in the past 20 months since I started Not About The Kids. Truthfully, most of them are not great. A few are good though, and gladly the hits are now more frequent than the misses. I snap away daily for social media and my blog. And through a combination of practice and learning some simple principles of what makes a good picture, I have learned how to take brilliant photos. Well, brilliant enough. Now I would like to share some of that knowledge with you.

Let me show you how to take brilliant photos…

How to take’ is a simple guide to the basics of good picture taking. On your phone. Unless you are a whizz with a grown-up camera (in which case you may still find some of the tips about composition, storytelling, and editing useful), please feel totally comfortable that the camera on your phone is absoultely good enough for your social media snaps.

It’s all about you

And this is not about creating images that are just like mine. It is about understanding how to set up your phone and set up your shot so that you create an image that will delight your followers. And reflect your style.
